Bekaisa [AM/EN/RU] posted a photograph of a sign outside an Armenian church in the U.S. on the eve of last week's presidential election. It reads “vote for the black. The other one's an ass (donkey).”
From Nicaragua, Juan Ortega pays tribute to Alexis Argüello, a former boxing champion and politician [es], who recently passed away. Even though Ortega was too young to remember watching Argüello's marches, he recalls hearing his grandmother speak very highly of the boxer.
Steve's Dominica is “not Happy” about “The recently released ‘Happy Planet Index' report”, which seems to have forgotten about the Caribbean.
Blogging from Trinidad and Tobago, This Beach Called Life makes the connection between the King of Pop and ethics: “While people mourn Michael Jackson’s death they illegally download his music. We in the dotty Third World crave to be First World and use any means possible to appear to be by playing the same music and mourning in the same fashion, even if it means acting unethically, if not illegally.”

Update: Judging from the comments section of the post, it’s possible the photo is a fake.
It is a doctored photo.
It’s clearly a fake. The letters do not fit in the white boxes.
It’s totally fake. Check out http://img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=onnikct7.jpg.
The Obama sign (and the one I made for you) can be done in 10 seconds by visiting http://www.churchsigngenerator.com. It even has the link at the buttom. I can’t believe so many people forwarded me the image without bothering to check out the link.
Well, there was no link on Bekaisa’s post.
Still, that sign generator is pretty cool.
And a pity the sign was a fake coz I thought it pretty funny if politically incorrect.
Anyways.
The link was on the photo (bottom right) that Bekaisa posted. People were so excited about the photo that didn’t look closely (i got the same photo through e-mail by dozens of people and they all had the link on the photo). Anyway, I have been duped before so I have been paying attention to small things.
