The US Congress has approved a 2009 fiscal spending bill containing a controversial provision that lifts family travel restrictions to Cuba. Uncommon Sense believes this would “restore some humanitarian sanity by helping break the barriers between Cubans who have been able to leave the country and loved ones they left behind.”

    i think this is a step in the right direction and will eventually lead to the end of the embargo which will then lead to a more open and free cuban society..the current gov will not change from one day to the next and the people to people contact will help change even the most faithful of fidel’s hard liners..
