A small team of Greeks in Zurich decided to expose Greek police brutality with a traveling photo exhibition in various European capitals. @Ypopto_mousi tweets a link to a poster in his blog, [el] which gives more information on his friends’ effort to bring this project to life, as well as a police violence case summary.
The organizers will try to raise funds for the exhibitions via crowdfunding. Moreover, they will set up a competition for fine arts students to launch a mobile exhibition starting from Zurich. The aim is to highlight the phenomenon of violence by Greek police, who in August 2008, were convicted of at least nine incidences of abuse by The European Court of Human Rights.

Police use of excessive force, especially deadly force,
corruption and other misconduct hurts everyone – including the police — in
terms of lost cooperation, support and trust – which, in turn, diminishes their
effectiveness. That’s the reality. Now what? To learn how to confront and
prevent it. Follow my blog at http://improvingpolice.wordpress.com.
