Argentina: Athletes Tweet Photos From #London2012

Just days before the start of the Olympic Games in London, Argentine athletes share images of their arrival via Twitter and Facebook.
Luciana Aymar, a field hockey player from Argentina and the country's current champion, was chosen seven times as the best women's field hockey player in the world. On Twitter, Aymar (@aymarlucha) shares [es] a photo of the team's arrival to the Olympic Village:

Juan Martin del Potro, Argentine tennis player currently in ninth place at the ATP World Tour, posted a photo on his Facebook page that was taken of him for the Olympic Games’ book of athletes.

Meanwhile, the President of the Argentine Olympic Committee, Gerado Werthein (@gerardowerthein), tweeted a photo [es] of the Argentine crew team:

Also on Twitter, Argentine gymnast Federico Molinari (@FDMolinari), shared [es] a photo of the apartments in the Olympic Village:

But what about the Argentine athletes that could not go to London? Such is the case for Juan Ignacio Chela (@JuanIChela), who wrote the following on his Twitter account:
@JuanIChela: Ya que no pude ir a Londres como tenista voy a preguntar si alguno me quiere llevar como su jabalina.
The Argentine football players could not go to London either because after winning gold medals in Athens 2004 and Shanghai 2008, the Argentine football team failed to qualify for the London 2012 games. The website 2012 Olympic Games [es] explains:
Estos recuerdos van quedando lejos con un presente no competitivo, en la que la selección Argentina quedó fuera de las olimpíadas. Lamentablemente para los argentinos que son tan fanáticos del fútbol y lamentarán el hecho de no participar en Londres 2012.
Las consecuencias de los conflictos políticos y económicos que envuelven al fútbol desde hace años tuvo como consecuencia el mal desempeño de la selección argentina, que dirigida por Walter Perazzo compitió por el Preolímpico sudamericano en Perú. Resultado: Argentina no logró clasificarse para Londres 2012.
These memories are getting fainter with a non-competitive present in which the Argentine national team ended up out of the Olympics Games. It is unfortunate for the Argentines that are such huge fans of football, they will regret not participating in London 2012 [es].
The consequences of the political and economic conflicts that have involved football for years resulted in the poor performance of the Argentine team, which, led by Water Perazzo, competed in the Olympic qualifiers in Perú. The result: Argentina [es] did not qualify for London 2012 [es].
