In the context of the campaign against Ley Telecom in Mexico, Juan Manuel Casanueva from SocialTic briefly analyzes [es] different citizen technological initiatives that the population is using in the movilization to express insatisfaction with this bill of law. He mentions the platform for petitions on AccessNow [es] to submit a letter [es] to Mexican authorities, the telephone platform [es] on La Quadrature du Net [es] for placing calls to senators for citizens to express their position regarding #LeyTelecom, the website Explica.la/ley [es], developed by Codeando México [es] where users can find interpretations or “translations into citizen language” of the bill of law original text.

Juan Manuel concludes:

It will depend on the inherent freedom on internet, as well as on the labor of analysts and activists for the people to identiy which aspects of a law are or are not favorable and to strongly demand them.
