On August 16, 2012, German customs officials at Frankfurt Airport seized a Guarneri violin from Japanese professional musician Yuzuko Horigome when she failed to present correct documentation. They demanded that she pay nearly US$ 500,000 in order to get it back.
Some 5,400 people signed a petition on Change.org asking Frankfurt Airport Customs to release the violin without requiring any payment.

Ironically, that as Art reflects Life. So German Customs should keep the Violin. Traditional Japanese stringed Instruments only prove the pretension of Western Cultural Hegemony.
that’s way odd that anyone else cares – why doesn’t she just prove that she didn’t do anything illegal from obtaining ownership of the instrument? IF Germany lets her off the hook because she is Japanese, will they do the same for every one? Look what Germany did to Paul Watson out of “friendship” with Japan!
I bet German customs won’t remove that law from the books although they refuse to enforce it in this fellow Nazi Zero’s case.
Germany isn’t genuinely nice to resident Jews and Muslims and it is only a matter of time before they bite the few local Chinese there. But the Japanese – they get to use the white facilities like they did in South Africa when it was run by Dutch Germans who called themselves Afrikaaners.
Are the Japanese and German expats in China going to give themselves a special Chinese moniker too?
