Tunisia: Baccalaureate Exam Leaked

Netizens were struck by the leak of the Arabic test of the national baccalaureate examination. News about the resignation of the Minister of Education circulated on Facebook and Twitter but were later debunked. The Ministry decided to make the candidates resit an exam instead of the leaked exam and postponed the remaining exams in order to change the questions out of fear of a similar leak. Netizens criticized the government for the exam leak and its overall performance.

Moi-Même tweeted mockingly saying that building a big bridge in Tunis has accelerated the leak [fr]:

@salamboo: Tu as passé ton bac?

Do you have to sit your baccalaureate exam? No, it's hasn't been possible in Tunisia since we built Rades Bridge!!!

He moves on to claim that not only Arabic was leaked but all the tests:

The baccalaureate didn't witness a leak but a deluge of leaks. All the subjects and not only the Arabic test [were leaked]

Netizen KFRS tweeted:

They indicate to me on the headset that the English test's essay topic of the baccalaureate is networking on Facebook

Emna Ben Achour slammed the government saying:

The Tunisian government still hits pretty hard, leak of the Arabic test of the baccalaureate!! They are incompetent and will remain so

Mejdi Mt noted in a desperate tone:

#tunisie #tngov #bac #bac2012

Why we wonder about a leak in the baccalaureate when we have a whole country running backwards..

Ousting the Minister of Education?

Rumors have been circulating on social-networking sites that the Minister of Education resigned.

Netizen Aymen tweeted:

According to RTCI there's nothing about the resignation of the Minister of Education and the person behind the leak was identified

According to the government, the leak is not a valid reason for a lay-off
