Greenbox blog reports [mk] that Toni Dimitrievski, director of Мetrudhem, the corporation that intends to restart the lead smelting factory in the city of Veles, has filed a lawsuit against environmental activist Igor Smilev for “endangering security,” “unauthorized recording,” “slander” and “insult,” requesting EUR 20,000 in damages. So far, only one political party, DOM, a junior “green” member of the vast ruling coalition, has protested [mk] against this “immoral” form of pressure. Before moving into the private sector, Mr. Dimitrievski had served as head of the Public Revenue Office and as an appointed manager [mk] of the state-owned Tobacco Company in Prilep.

It’s interesting that emphasize the hobby of Igor Smilev in the context of this lawsuit. That throws off the story because you are marginalizing him due to his hobby. You might have labeled him for his race, religion and sexual orientation. Smilev is a citizen of the Republic of Macedonia who is sued for his actions which supposedly endangered the safety of Dimitrioski as well as brought slander to him and publicly insulted. The court will have the final if Smilev is guilty for his actions or not. The context in which he acted is totally irrelevant if he is found guilty. Clear your head and stay fresh to be objective.
