In day to day affairs we are becoming a most intolerant, hot tempered and violent society. The dream of a secular, tolerant and liberal state by founder of nation is shadowed by some vested interests. It is time for our media to revisit its priorities, to strengthen the government, to back the government in weeding out handful fundamentalists that are bidding to besiege 180 million people of Pakistan. Until and unless the black sheep in our media continue to endorse extremism, the dream of liberal Pakistan can not be materialized.

I don’t think there can ever be a liberal Islamic state or media, because Islam is a religion of fundamentalism and intolerance. Liberalism or tolerance is a Biblical concept. No Muslim is going to rush down to embrace the Biblical doctrines. I think 100% of all Muslim states are dictatorial in nature rather than democratic. The dream of democratic Pakistan will never be realized, I am afraid.
