Bono's (U2) visit to Russia [EN] turned out to be a highly politicized event. Some complain [RUS], Bono didn't tell Medvedev about the Khimki Forest Park, some admire his joint performance [RUS/EN] with Yuri Shevchuk, an opposition musician. Oleg Kozyrev asks [RUS], “What if Bono could spend part of his energy to support the opposition?”

Yuri Shevchuk isn’t an opposition musician. He has been a well-known rock star for many years and has taken to speaking out about politics from time to time.
Dear Matthew,
you’re right. I wrote this for three reasons:
1. In the 80s he was beginning as an opposition musician
2. Since the end of 2009 he was acting as an opposition muscian
3. The genre of the roundup is too short to describe this talented person.
