Afghanistan: Abandon the drug war to save it

Joshua Foust argues that in Afghanistan the U.S. should abandon its war on drugs if it hopes to ever reduce the drugs trade.

  • abandon it?? don’t think that would be the best idea… Although the former policies were ineffective in recent years, the new approach will prove to be effective in reducing the opium trade. This will help to stagger the resurgence of the Taliban and allow the US and Allies to help establish much needed improvements in the region….
