Nigeria: Condom ban

An article about condom ban in Anambra, Nigeria: “It is now illegal to encourage the use of condoms in southeast Nigeria's Anambra State. The state government has also banned the advocacy and distribution of other forms of contraceptives including IUDs (intrauterine device) and any other “un-natural” birth control.”

There must be some missing link in the story. How can the use of condoms be banned in an enlightened society?
Please do cross check your facts.

  • Why should condom be banned? Was it not WHO that encouraged the use of condom as preventive measure against HIV/AIDS? Is the government serious at all? Who even initiated the plan? Governor Peter Obi should be serious because governance is about seriousness.

I SAY THE GOVERNEMENT NEEDS TO RECAP ON HIS WORDS ABOUT CONDOMS CAUSE THEY CAN STOP HIV/AIDS FROM HAPPENING ALSO THEY CAN PREVENT WOMEN AND YOUNG GIRLS FROM HAVING CHILDREN WHEN THEY ARE NOT READY TO DO SO. TIMES ARE HARD WHEN HAVING CHILDREN NOW AND SO PEOPLE DON’T REALIZE THIS PROBLEM.
