Kidnapping in Haiti

NoteDor writes about kidnapping in Haiti [Fr]: “Kidnapping has entered our morals and seems to be ingrained in them. The authorities are powerless, or rather indifferent; often it is they who organize [kidnappings]…Those who orchestrate these horrors must hate our country with all their heart…Love to them all, for they know not what they do. They have not yet woken up to love.”

I CAN NOT MAKE ANY SENSE OF THIS. NOT ONLY IS THE KIDNAPPING BECOME A SOURCE OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THESE PEOPLE BUT, IT HAS ALSO TURNED THEM INTO MURDERERS. WHY? I KNOW PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING,BUT HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT? DONT THEY REALIZE THAT ALL THIS BLOOD SHED HAS IS INDEPLORABLE IN THE EYES OF OUR MAKER. IF HE TURNS HIS BACK ON HAITI NOW, THE PEOPLE ARE DOOMED! WE DO NEED TO PRAY! DAY AND NIGHT!

Kidnapping is a scourge added to the trials of our poor nation since the enonciation of “Sink or Swim”. The Big Brain who are behind the lucrative industry of the kidnapping are too powerful to be revealed. Our past was dirty and our tomorrow promises to be convincingly dirty for the lack of transparency is appalling in every regards. Dishonesty is virtual in every active facet of our society and the public administration’s watchword is “Be part of it or beat it”.
