Russia, Serbia, Georgia: Kosovo Implications

TOL's Steady State writes that “if the application of the ‘Kosovo formula’ to the post-Soviet frozen conflicts takes place, then it will be cooked up in Moscow – that is certain.”

Pridnestrovie (Trans-Dniester) has a much better case for independence than Kosovo.

    Some others besides Russia agree.

Kosova is already independent from Serbia and there is no force in the world that can change that.
Albanians and serbs have nothing in common, just hate and wars.
This is the reason that this two paople can’t live in same country.

  • There’s no valid reason to support independence for an ethnically cleansed territory run by folks with dubious backgrounds like Thaci, Ceku and Haridnaj.

Support for Kosovo independence encourages others to pursue violence as a means of achieving independence.

Present day Serbia minus Kosovo is more democratic than Turkey, Iraq and Kosovo. Serbia shouldn’t have to lose its territory for what happened in the past. A past when it wasn’t completely at fault. Turkey and Iraq aren’t asked to lose their territory for what they did to the Kurds. Worse than what the Serbs could be legitimately accused of.
