Chilean Bloggers on Bolivia’s Chaos

Chilean Bloggers are concerned with what is happening in Bolivia. As Tomás Bradanovic (ES) explains:

The horrible situation that Bolivia is going through is based on a big misunderstanding in which the government and the opposition are unable to understand the other's way of thinking. They judge and act incorrectly and that is what keeps the country like a beggar sitting atop a hill of gold. While Morales reasons like a child, without realizing that every day he is empowering his enemy; because political polarization is the best scenario for the opposition parties.

Taking an economic-political view, Libardo Buitrago (ES) wrote about the issues that concern Bolivia in the Mercosur trade bloc:

The incorporation of Bolivia in the Common Market of the South, (Mercosur) and the start of a fund to compensate Uruguay and Paraguay faced with asymmetries that exist in regional bloc will dominate the discussions of the thirtieth summit of the Head of States of Mercosur, that will take place Thursday and Friday in the Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro.

He finishes explaining that one of Bolivia's concern is to search for a formula make it a member of Mercosur while maintaining its membership in the Andean Community Nations (CAN).

Meanwhile, Elena Cáceres wrote in ,El Morrocotudo (ES) about the families that have sent their children to get educated in Bolivian Universities.

We spoke with the Pereda parents who have a son that has been studying psychology in the high tableland country for four years. They declared that “this is not the first time that something like this happened. A few years ago there was a similar situation in which they even blocked the roads for several days and we don’t hear any news about him.” For us parents it is really worrying. Even though he is with his friends and classmates, we really fear that because of a political or social issue (that doesn't apply to Chilean youth), they still have to somehow pay the consequences.
