Kuwait has been buzzing lately with religion and political talk. With the harsh events in Paksitan with the earth quake. Like Faith sending her thoughts and prayers to the survivors of the Asian earthquake and wonders about the current natural disasters have any religious end of time feelings. These events also has Misguided questioning what is the reason for all of these disasters, is there a reason for all of these disasters? Is God testing the humanity's compassion? Kuwait Tranny wants to know what the hypocritial religious scholars have to say about the disasters in Pakistan? Is God punishing the muslims there like what happened to the sinners in USA with Katrina.

Following with this hypocrisy Elegance breaks down a religious poster grammatically, theologically and politically that pledges it allegiance to Egyptian Husani Mubarak as a leader that is supported by God.

Ayya places her opinion on the current rise of the divorce rate in Kuwait how it is related to Islamic Shariya law's not catching up with the current global trends of a dual income house hold. Since the wife may not be allowed to work but still needed to present financial support she has to resort to her inheritance or personal family income as a money line.

McArabian introduces the Kuwaiti blogging community to GeoCaches and had us going on a little treasure hunt with our GPS devices trying to find the cache located somewhere in Kuwait.

The poltical activity this past week has been around Sheik Salem Al-Ali press release on his dissatisfaction of the current heads of the Kuwait government last week. Kuwait has been buzzing with rumors and speculation on what is going to happen next in the line of succession as Amir of Kuwait.

BooJam talks about the differences of living in Kuwait compared to the UK and the joys he has living here with the sunny skies compared to the grey clouds of England. The low gas price, and the customer trust, and the overall safety.

As you recall last week there was an online campaign started to boycott the current racist shows on Ramadan TV. Well, in only 1 week a
major Kuwaiti newspaper had the logo with an article supporting it on their front page.

Ramadan Kareem Everyone. Kuwait during Ramadan gets quite active in terms of nights out with family and friends visiting diwaniyas and other family gatherings that makes us have no time for politics or any international matters.

So the issue about Kuwait normalizing ties with Israel has not come up in any of the diwaniyas. Even when members of parliament visit it is never mentioned, not to be polite but seems the people don't care much about the issue.

One hot topic that always comes around ever Ramadan is the shows. Such as Stallion asking what is hot, and not? Yet it seems there is a consensus that the shows are pretty much crap but the commercials are great. Q, Zaydoun and Bo Jaij are demanding a boycott of the MBC1 show Gergeegan. Which even got MadM2000 to blog again.

Ayya also shares with us her true feelings about Ramadan and how it is one of the most hypocritical months of the Islamic calendar.

We also had our 10th Kuwait Blogs meeting.

Parenting in Kuwait is so mixed. Q discusses how parents can easily leave their children with maids when they are young, and is concerned on how this influences the young child's development. Then Sheba remarks on how mom's are all over their children when they are in school and watching over them and helping/doing their homework and even going to their college orientation to help them settle in.

Misguided uses charts and statistics to prove why he isn't married yet.

Working in Kuwait has always been tough and mixed. Jazz Central compares and contrasts government work to the private sector. Confused writes about the stress in the private sector leads people to just quit. Guess it ccould be as Forza points with Google allowing their employees to create new ideas and inventions like Googles Secure Access; when Kuwait just invest in either stocks or real estate but not ideas or people.

Kuwait Tranny hope for one day in Kuwait where mothers and daughters go to school together, and parents's have an honest relationship with their children's lives, but doubts it will ever happen in Kuwait.

Entrepreneur asks where is the best places to eat in Kuwait, while Latifa lists some observations about Kuwait.

Don veto shares with us pictures of Kuwait's traffic jams and pictures from it's deep sea, while Toomz wonders how many sudoko addicts are in Kuwait.

Just a little introduction to the Kuwait Blogosphere, we have about 277 blogs listed on KuwaitBlogs.com and most of them are being aggregated on Safat.KuwaitBlogs.com. We have a mixed group of bloggers that are Kuwait are in and out of Kuwait, as well as people form other countries that live in Kuwait.

Bo Ghazi has quit smoking and was looking for some help at the local Smoke Prevention Clinic , but found out that their only type of help is chemical with nicotine patches. He was hoping for some psychological assistance with a doctor that quit smoking or even a simple support group, but that wasn't available. He also surprised that it wasn't female friendly. The doctors they had were more of the religious type, and didn't seem like they were any female doctors available for consultation or advice.

Hanan points out the cultural effects of Starbucks and coffee shops in Kuwait, how they have become the new hang out for the young and how hard it is to find a nice coffee shop by the beach to sit and relax. And that Ryan Reynolds is hot.

Entrepreneur posts a copy of <a href="http://tsunimon.blogspot.com/2005/09/interesting-new-writer.html
“>satirical article posted in a coffee magazine on the different type of women in Kuwait.

Kuwait Tranny points out the state of make up of arab actress and how they are getting their inspiration from goth.

Shurouq shows the religious advice for school teachers, and administration staff on what to look out for in their students. Some highlights include making sure kids avoiding have bright/florescent bags for that might be distracting during class. also pens and pencils that resemble cigarettes or cigars, or ones that are mechanical for they might distract the student. No sharp objects such as pointed rulers, compasses etc. Yet nothing on what or how to teach the kids.

Dogzille announced the first private cost saving airline in the Arabian Gulf - Jazeera Airlines, and their new offer of 66KD round trip to Dubai and back form Kuwait.

Miss Undaztoood is saddened by the end of summer and the return of the people, the work and the traffic.
