Blogger Phoe Htaung is organizing the financial support for Mg Aung Myin who came from a poor family and having a financial difficulties studying Medical Science. He is currently a third year Medical student and needs about ~ US$ 50 per month for another 2.5 years to finish his study. “Mg Aung Myin who is currently studying Medical Science at Magway Medical Colleage as a Final Part I student, is seeking financial help for his studies. He is almost near his goal just need a few steps to be Medical Doctor. He needs about 50,000 Kyats per month for 2.5 years.”

BurmaNet reported about locals being ordered for military trainings in Ayataw Township.”The authorities of Ayataw Township, Monywa district in central Burma’s Sagaing Division, ordered local people to supply one person from each village for military trainings.” People are puzzled and suspicious about this military action.

Myanmar: Kason Festival - Buddha Day
Yesterday, 1st of May - well known for International Labor day, also happens to be one very significant day for Myanmar Buddhist people. This month in Myanmar calendar is called "Kason"and Burmese celebrate one of the most religious and historically significant events on Kason full moon day. It is also known as Vesak Day or Buddha Day. Several Myanmar bloggers described how they celebrated this special day.

Weekly Roundup of Myanmar Blogs
Last week in Myanmar Blogosphere, the bloggers were into a new meme game introduced by Moe Moe. The bloggers had to write 10 Weird Things about themselves. The tag game happens to be quite a new concept for some bloggers and was played with much fun and enthusiasm. Almost all the bloggers participated in the game.

April has always been the most exciting month for Burmese as it is the month to celebrate Thingyan - water festival. It is also a New Year in Myanmar calendar. Burmese around the world celebrate Thingyan with various type of seasonal food, music and lots of water.
