I am a French-English translator who is starting out. Having completed short courses in translation and community interpreting I would like to develop my skills. I lived in France for 5 years where I studied commercial french, taking the Chamber of Commerce exam.
I have experience of translating (French to English) general text and clinical papers for voluntary/not-for-profit organisations. In addition I speak Spanish and am happy to help with Spanish to English translations.

Morocco

The website Guinée Inter published an article from Jeune Afrique which reveals [fr] that: “A series of American diplomatic cables, published by WikiLeaks on Saturday, details the four-way discussions which took place between the President of Burkina Faso Blaise Compaoré, the United States, France and Morocco between the end of 2009 and early 2010. These discussions centred around the fate of deposed Guinean President Moussa Dadis Camara, as well as the future of Guinea.”

Guinea recently experienced three days of violence resulting in at least seven dead, after the declaration of the results of the presidential elections that have seen tension brewing in the country for the last month. The second round of the vote, held on 7th November, saw long-time opposition leader Alpha Condé (RPG) brought into power with 52.52% of the votes compared with the 47.48% share obtained by Cellou D. Diallo (UFDG). The declaration of these results triggered renewed civil unrest.
