Czesc! I (Jordan) am a California native living in the Polish capital, Warsaw. With Maria, my Polish wife, and two daughters (Magdalena and Zuzanna), I have been living in this city of contrasts for 7 years now. My better half, Maria, is the official house translator, bringing Polish language blogs to the English reading audience at GV. She is an avid reader of Fantasy (did I contribute?), with some interesting field experience(s) in Archaeology, and academic exposure to Cultural Anthropology. As for myself, after graduating from the Sociology satellite of Central European University (CEU) located in Warsaw (CEU has since then moved its Soc. Dept to Budapest), I went on to beautiful Krakow to continue with Ph.D. studies at Jagiellonian University (ABD after 3 years). Currently, I work in Warsaw as a language teacher, in addition to teaching (via Internet) at SUNY and Baker College as a Philosophy Instructor. The best things about Warsaw (we are in rare agreement) are the large networks of public parks and the sweet shops ('cukiernia' in Polish). The worst thing, for me, is the so-called ‘culture of complaining' here — far, far from the California perspective. We need more sunlight here!

KEEP THINKING, KEEP TYPING!
