Saudi Arabia has listed a number or groups [1], including the Muslim Brotherhood, as terrorist organisations today.

The decision comes a day after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain withdrew their Ambassadors in Doha, Qatar.

CNN's Mohammed Jamjoom reports:

And he comments:

Among the other “terrorist organisations” declared by Saudi Arabia are the Al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), which was formerly an Al-Qaeda group too, as well as the Shia Houthis rebels in Saada, northern Yemen, and the Hizbulla in Hijaz.

The absolute monarchy, which has hundreds of its citizens fighting in Syria, has also ordered all its fighters back home within 15 days – with the threat of imprisonment upon return if they do not adhere to this decree.

Saudi Ali Mohammed chuckles, linking to a photograph showing the Saudi monarch King Abdulla with ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi, a leading figure of the Muslim Bortherhood organisation in Egypt (now banned there too):

Saudi Arabia places the Muslim Brotherhood on a terror list hahahaha

Maria Abi-Habib comments:

From Bahrain, Abu Omar Al Shafee wonders [ar]:

Because the national security of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain is inseparable, will Bahrain put the Muslim Brotherhood organisation on the terror list, after their danger has become apparent?

Still in Bahrain, Yusuf Janahi says [ar]:

I hope the honourable people (a term the pro-government crowd describes itself as), in their stance against terrorism tomorrow, support Saudi Arabia against terrorism in line with today's decision. Believe me even the Muslim Brothers of Bahrain will take part and curse themselves

He adds:

After Saudi Arabia's decision that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organisation, you will see many remove the Rabaa symbol from their profiles. I suggest you temporarily replace it with [Lebanese singer] Elissa's photograph

According to estimates [ar], Bahrain Mirror claims [13]:

بعض المراقبين يذهب إلى أن نحو 70% من قيادات الجهات الحكومية المدنية (وكلاء الوزارات، الوكلاء المساعدون، مديرو الإدارات، رؤساء الأقسام…) هم من الإخوان المسلمين، وهذه تقديرات تعود إلى عام 2006.

Observers claim that 70 per cent of leadership positions (ministry under-secretaries, assistant under-secretaries, department directors, and section heads) are Muslim Brotherhood members. These figures are from 2006

And journalist Gregg Carlstrom asks:
