The Alternative Turkmenistan News (ATN) posted this photo on its Facebook page on April 5, 2013. The photo shows that even in the most authoritarian societies, citizens often find creative ways of expressing their discontent and making their voices heard. ATN is a public page dedicated to “bringing news from one of the most restrictive countries of the world”.
