Mali: Threats All Around

The Malian army has committed serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law (IHL) during the ongoing conflict against armed groups, including extrajudicial executions of civilians, according to testimonies collected by Amnesty International during a ten days mission in Mali.


On February 5, 2013 after a field investigation in Mali, Amnesty International published its first situation report, “Mali : first assessment of the human rights situation after three weeks of fighting” [fr].  The post points out [fr] that civilians are threatened by all parties in the conflict.
