The Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (APIB) denounces [1] [pt] human rights abuses against the indigenous populations in an open-letter [2] [pt] to the United Nations. Among several issues, APIB calls the attention to the Guarani-Kaiowa genocide [3], the mining projects on indigenous lands and the illegal constructions in the Amazon rainforest – such as the Belo Monte dam [4] -, and the lack of education and healthcare.
