‘The Door to Hell’ in Turkmenistan

In the middle of the Karakum Desert in Turkmenistan, there is a huge flaming crater. Known as ‘The Door to Hell', it has been burning since 1971. Bakhrom Mananov on Central Asia Notes has more on this, including magnificent photos and videos.
