Chile at the Internet Governance Forum 2012

Claudio Ruiz blogs [es] about the Internet Governance Forum and Chile's scant participation: there are only two Chileans attending the forum, and both represent civil society.

Claudio lists two reasons for Chile's absence at the forum:

First, the confusing structure of digital policies in Chile […] where there is certainly no authority to demand accountability from in such matters. Second, the existence of a “Digital Agenda of Silence,” [es] where there's no plan that seeks to develop public policies aimed at promoting new technologies as tools for the development of rights.
