Marie-Clémence & Cesar Paes present a trailer of Maraina, a film that showcases, in their words, ”the first opera to be created in the Indian Ocean region” [fr].
Maraina tells the story of ten Malagasy and two Frenchmen who landed in Madagascar in the mid-17th century to plant tobacco and aloes. It will be shown in movie theaters in France in November 2012.

The Ministry of Communication of Angola threatens to suspend the public license of the Radio Despertar station and of the Folha 8 newspaper, despite the measure being unconstitutional.
