Former presidential staff member Konstantin Kostin [1] [ru] and pro-Kremlin blogger Stanislav Apetian (online moniker: PoliTrash [2]) have released new details about an upcoming initiative from their think tank [3] [ru], the Civil Society Development Foundation. In an interview [4] [ru] with Izvestia newspaper, Apetian says the group is deploying technology developed by the American firm Crimson Hexagon [5] to introduce a “new standard” for the study of RuNet social media. The product is expected to compete directly with Prizma [6] [ru], an existing service offered by the Russian company Medialogia.
