He appears to be responding to blogger Artemii Lebedev's August 31 online contest [ru] for best mock-ups of the Patriarch. Writer Dmitri Olshanskii criticized [ru] the Church in a post on Facebook, calling Volkov's reaction ‘un-Christian.’
