Armenia: Sumgait Pogrom Anniversary

The Armenian Observer posts the harrowing details of at least 26 ethnic Armenian victims of the Sumgait pogrom which took place on 27 February 1988 and which seriously escalated the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed territory of Nagorno Karabakh. Six Azerbaijanis were also killed in the inter-ethnic violence which broke out after reports of violence against ethnic Azeris in Southern Armenia reached the industrial town in Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, a day earlier, Azerbaijanis marked the 20th anniversary of the massacre of their ethnic kin in Khojaly during the height of fighting in Nagorno Karabakh.

article does not substitute with the realities at all. in Sumagyit armenians were killed by armenians themselves (killed the armenians who refused to donate to armenian fund). Azerbaijanis involved to the issue were arrested and prosecuted. But Azerbaijanis living in the south of Armenia were killed brutally and the number of them were not six. More than 1000 people were assassinated including babies and women. No single person in Armenia went into trial for that and even they were drawn up to governmental posts. Actual president of Armenia Serj Sarkisyan is a real killer and he by himself never denies the massive killings that he realized. Just GOOGLE it and you will find out the realities.
