Mohammad Tauheed is an architect. He is the Founder & Editor in Chief of ArchSociety. He is also a TED Senior Fellow & the organizer of TEDxDhaka.
Archsociety, an open source platform of resources, articles, maps, design references and most powerfully its a discussion board. commonly known as Forum. born in university computer lab and campus adjacent cyber cafe. as we come to know that while it was forming up- the person behind the forum had no pc of his own. :) oops. !!
“I was very serious of being an artist. Some how I became architect.”
helping the architecture students sharing their ideas, thoughts. reference and fatigues was in mind. but now it has became vast. vast in every aspects. resources and visitors. contributors from all over the world now share their knowledge and ideas.
a journey starts from zero to a enormous success. thus we may now dare to think of bigger. as the architects and architecture students create an open sharing global platforms of knowledge, can we make a open Urban design think tank. which will connect literally all to the urban design process.
my initiative to collect words, sentences, statements: after listening our TEDxDhaka Talks we can bring out some points. hence we transform the messages through Blogg.
Short of resources . Struggle and pain, it was extremely difficult to get a book. Proper information, access to the resources . the problem is unique when you don’t have a computer.
Solution- Archsociety.com a place open, shared. an open online forum. resources are uploaded by community members round the globe.
Lifeless people gave life to archsociety.com
Share their resources for free. Open source, anybody can down load anything, can copy share with others,
Archsociety.com honored him with TED Fellowship.

Who We are:
Usually: We are a bunch of young enthusiastic fellows striving for open knowledge sharing, promoting global opportunities to the less developed, less connected communities of architects and designers through free resources, news, discussions with a wish to change the quality and intention of design worldwide.
Project: The Open Urban Design Think Tank (OUT)
Open Urban Design Think Tank tries to develop an open archive of solutions to the critical urban problems of fast growing poor developing cities (for example: Dhaka, Mumbai, Lagos etc. or any other cities).
Is there any way we could contribute to the horrifying situations of the third world mega-cities? The OUT is trying to make a way.
