Russia: Bloggers’ Quest For Freedom of Photography

Ilya Varlamov and Dmitry Ternovsky continue [ru] (see also feature article by Will Partlett) their quest for the freedom of photography. This time they visited three Moscow railway stations to check, wherever the police still prohibits (illegally) to make pictures at the self-proclaimed ‘strategic objects.’ Yet, the police ignores the law, photobloggers concluded.

  • it was always (and still is) the east which is deemed tyrannical with its various peoples… these laws which stamp down on the freedom of documenting expression as opposed to freedom of expression are just as harsh here in the west… we could do with some dialogue to find out how east and west correlate r.e. harsh governmental regulations etc…
