In “7 Reasons I'm Conflicted about the Fredom Flotilla” Daniel Sieradski writes: “By engaging in violence…[the activists] have demonstrated succinctly to Israel's supporters and allies that they, and by extension all Palestinian solidarity activists, are neither non-violent nor pro-peace. This hampers their cause and the greater cause of Palestinian liberation.”

Fully armed soldiers with machine guns against activistas with curbs and knifes, what they managed to find during the confusion… Yes, that’s real violence! andIsrael is a saint while murdering thousands of palestinians… this piece is a shame for Global Voices!
A shame for Global Voices? Raphael, did you click through to the link and read the article? Your comment sounds like a knee jerk reaction without being specific to the content of this post. Since you are invested enough to comment, please click through to the link and give it a read through.
I am fully aware of your opinion on Israel in general from seeing what you post (http://globalvoicesonline.org/author/tsavkko/), but it is Global Voices’ intent to honor the voices of each blogosphere, which is what I set out to do as an Israel writer.

Raphael,
I’m a bit confused by your comment here. While I don’t agree with about 60% of the blogger’s opinions, I think that this is exactly the kind of post Global Voices should be highlighting from Israel. Whether or not we agree with him, it’s clear that this blogger has thought about the situation and is not simply quoting the mainstream media. If we’re not here to highlight our respective blogospheres, then what’s the point?
To be honest, the last part of my comment was supposed to go to another post, I copy/paste a part of it and putted in the wrong place.=/
Did you even read the post? The blogger calls for ending the blockade in Gaza.
