Japan: The art of making Sake

A few pictures by Buddhika illustrate the art of making sake, the alcholic beverage made from rice. The photographer portrays some workers at a sake distillery in Fukui Prefecture.

  • Wow, this is really arts. Do you know if sake is always made like this? I cannot imagine that they can make sake for a whole country with so people-intensive work.

    I also did not know that sake contains only 15% alcohol. I always guessed it was about 30–40% ;)
