Environment should not be sacrificed because of industrial development.

If the whole Taiwan is used for producing computers, what are people going to eat in future? There must be some balance between land for agricultural use and land for industrial / science park use. We cannot eat computers to live.

If the land is polluted from industrial use, it will take many more years to revive to be suitable again for agricultural production, we cannot only rely on imports of produce because energy and food shortage may be tomorrow’s global problem. Even if you have money, other countries may not want to sell you produce.

I should point out that 彰化 is usually spelled in English contexts as "Changhua," not "Chunhwa" or "Chunghwa," the latter of which is a common spelling for 中華. Thanks nonetheless for the post. Tim Maddog
