While i'm also one of the victim of 1990s.I agree with Sonam in some extant .like she said our people had also done lot of criminal act in 1990s.They must punished. But in fact ,we really need to understand the reason behind this moment. Its for freedom, human right, discrimination, right to follow the religion and equal access to government. When the government applied the policy of one nation, one religion and one language, the problem create from this point. In practical, this policy is impossible in this modern world. If any body tried to apply or invade the culture, religion and language no one will accept that .Bhutan government need to accept the crime done my police for killing innocent people ,rape, crime ...Bhutan will really become happy if they respect the citizen culture, language and religion.

When I was studying in a boarding school in Darjeeling, there were many Bhutanese students who had Nepali surnames. I was surprised that the government handed out so many scholarships to members of the minority groups.

Hans Rosling is clearly a smart man, as anyone who has ever studied statistics must know. Aside from being an accomplished and well respected scientist and educator, he’s a genuine good guy doing good work to help poor people.

Sonam ongmo, what do you think you are doing as you call yourself a journalist by giving false information to the media.

Finally you have found someone who have joined hands with the Government of Bhutan in calling 100,000 evicted Bhutanese illegal immigrants. Does this guy called Alexander Casella even know what is illegal immigrants. He is supposedly have worked for International migration. He thinks Bhutan is a big country like USA. Bhutan is a small country, in the villages everybody knows everybody, does he mean to say that 20% of Bhutan's 600,000 population at that time were illegal immigrants ???. How could the illegal immigrants own landed property in Bhutan, if you visit southern Bhutan now you will find new settlers from other parts of the country who are settled by the Government of Bhutan on the land and house of the evicted Bhutanese. I feel sorry for a person like Alexander who likes to assume things and thinks he knows everything. He should get permission from Bhutan to visit southern Bhutan to educate himself, good luck with permission to visit southern Bhutan though so far all the najor media like BBC has been denied the permission, if there is nothing to hide why not give permission. Bhutan Government's excuse of not allowing journalists in southern Bhutan on security reasons is a big lie, tell me how many people have died of violence or bomb blast in southern Bhutan in last five years ???

Sonam- I applaud you for being one of the few voices that is creating an awareness on this so called “Bhutanese refugee issue “ to the rest of the World. You have to argue the likes of Priti Moktan, Seeta etc who has suddenly banned you as “a controversial person” because you don’t fit in their anti-Bhutan propaganda. They are so blinded in their hatred for Bhutan and its people that they even believe their own lies. They have even tried to fool the rest of the world by rewriting Bhutan's history.
KEEP WITH YOUR GOOD WRITE UPS!!

Finally even the Nepalese President has got a taste of and now realizes the irresponsibility of the Nepalese Media.

"They [the reporters] should play the role of social coordinators. More articles should be written about national unity, integrity and ethnic harmony. Violence of any kind can never be overlooked. Journalists have been targets recently. There are high professional hazards but they are not supposed to keep quiet.

Our media seems superficial, they do not go deep into issues. I don't like to read about ethnic and regional issues. The press should pacify the situation instead of aggravating it. I wish there would be more write-ups in favour of the national interest that would help maintain regional harmony between the himal, hill and Tarai regions.

A reporter needs to understand the pros and cons of deciding on states based on ethnicities. My request to the press people is they should work hard. What is the use of medicine after death?"

Well said Mr. President.

Sonam Ongmo, we are as Nepalese Bhutanese as you are as Tibetan Bhutanese.

Don't point fingers at western countries , I am sure you mean USA and Australia in particular of treating their native people unfairly. Look at what is Bhutan doing, Bhutan is ruled by the people of Tibetan origin who are immigrants from Tibet, your Shabdrung is a run away monk from Tibet too. In fact Bhutan never recognised the aboriginals of Bhutan who are Doyas and Totas, do you even know that they are the aboriginals of Bhutan. Bhutan has shoved them in one remote corner of the country and has done nothing to uplift them. Look at yourself first before pionting fingers at others.

Many Bhutanese claim to have PHDs, why can't one of them do their thesis on their own native tribe. They are too isolated for modern Bhutanese to visit them, isn't this the truth ???

I can't believe Sonam Wangmo who claims to be a journalist can write so much lies.

How can you say that the Bhutanese refugees living in UNHCR refugee camps were illegal immigrants from Bhutan. You also said they were living in the Bhutan India boarder. Actually not even 10% of Bhutanese refugees living in Nepal are from the boarder areas. Majority are from Dzongkhags like Dagana, Chirang, Dagapela, Lamidara, Dorokha etc. if you know Bhutan well you know where these places are.

On one hand you say they were illegal immigrants and on the other hand you say the Bhutanese from other parts of Bhutan were resettled on the land of illegal immigrants who left Bhutan. According to you, this was done on the request of the local Bhutanese for fear of being threatened by the people who had left and alsoto protect the vacant land from the elephants. OK, tell me one thing, how could illegal immigrants possess land in Bhutan ??? how could not Government check this ??? Bhutan is a small country with a population of 700,000, how hard it is to check the illegal immigrants possessing land. Don't think that you can fool other people in the World.

A controversial person as Sonam Wangmo should not be working for United Nations. How can should be trusted that she will be impartial while working in the UN when she can write such controversial lies while working for the UN.
