The army enters khurrum agency and we want to praise them for these efforts to get the country rid of extremism. We as a United nation fully support the Pakistan Army.

we at war not at borders but at the wazirastan now a days our army is working hard laying the lives for survival of Pakistan it is the war much difficult than the 1965and 1971 because the targets or enemies are hidden between the civilians.the main support required is the from media how media broadcast the work of our brave army to the world and our nation so that the bad image about army could be removed and what the really our army is..instead media should not support the political issues in preference to this operations rah e nijat.

The media should realize that they should cover the issue of terrorism in an optimistic way on how good the Pakistani forces are in standing against terrorism. If caused more awareness in this manner, it can be very encouraging for us as individuals. The political issues are something which are causing stress in the economy which is not needed.

the operation in south wazirstan till now has been a great success for the Pakistan army and we salute them for this job. Around more then 6000 militants have been killed in this operation. Now that Taliban’s grip is cutting loose they are using the media to damage control and calling it a war against non-muslims. I believe that this is the last big push of the Taliban as already they have been made very week due to this operation.

@ Saqlian,

True that The Pakistani operation is South Waziristan is an ongoing activity and we should applaud the efforts of our young fighting soldiers. More awareness of our achievements can be spread in an optimistic manner by the help of the media.

The Pakistani operation in South Waziristan is an ongoing operation where many innocent militants are losing their lives, however the new NRO list of beneficiaries seems to be the highlight now days. The media can help us collectively raise a voice against terrorism in Pakistan.

The Pakistani operation in South Waziristan is an ongoing activity, yet it is undermined by issues like the NRO and Sugar Crisis. Why can not the media act more responsibly and focus on the issue at hand?

It has been noted in a survey by the Gillani Foundation that 57% of the population agrees to the fact that it has been the media which has been responsible for the political instability in the country. It can be further noted on the following link:-

Crime scene coverage and how to do it? This is what the media should really re-consider, especially after a suicide blast takes place. The gruesome pictures and aftermath should not be shown with a PG logo on top of the screen. The images shown can be very disturbing, and also show false images of how our society is in the global circuit

The media should act more responsible, especially when it comes to resident areas. The media had spread a speculation that there is a blast in the I-8 sector of Islamabad. Obviously this was not the case, but however the media had reported it on a hunch; they should act rationally as these kinds of events can cause panics and a sense of insecurity in the society. This also addressed nicely in the following link by Sadiq Saleem:- http://pakistanwithoutterrorism.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/sadiq-saleem-lagay-raho-media-bhai/

It is very tragic that our country is going through times of political conflicts and terrorist extremism. However, the media seems to be contributing to their actions by acting irresponsibly. The media tends to neglect its responsibility on many things. Initially it was the political NRO-Zardari/Altaf issue which over covered the suicide bomb blast in Rawalpindi, then the allegations by “The Nation” on Journalists and Ex-Army men to be working with Blackwater, and now the recent terroristic tragic events covered by the media at Charsadda causing 35 casualties. They have printed a picture of a man holding his child’s dead body and crying. The media should realize that these things can have a very negative impact.

Our brave army men give their lives to save Pakistan and the all the media does both print and television ruining our international image day by day. Just like the devastating news that made the main page of the newspaper The Nation today stating that some army men were sold to black water with a bogus source some website called Pakistan daily. Pakistan daily does not even have repute. Who knows what Pakistan daily is and just imagine a newspaper like The Nation uses this as its source just to sell itself. I think we need to raise our voice and serious action should be taken on behavior like this.

Let’s face it, we are at war. The ridiculous arguments about the terrorists only targeting government establishments, or it is the West’s war, it’s a Jihad against infidels, etc, were blown to smithereens last Wednesday afternoon in Peshawar’s Meena Bazaar. The powerful car bomb, which ripped through the thickly-congested market place — a favourite shopping area of lower and middle class families in particular — showed that it is a war with terrorists standing on one side of the blood line, and we the people on the other.

TTP and similar organization on the earth are producton of war and poverrty and often time concentation of people who were failed to take the chanllanges in normal life.

They are group of people who lack creative thinking and like to use powers as they feel powerlessness when it comes to getting education, doing business, get respect in the society they living etc...

The point is that this kind of people are treated in mental hospital in the rest of the world,, however in tribal areas of Pakistan they got weapons in hands during war against USSR and good trainning. Since the size of the group there is about 0.5 million which is quite more than one can expect and enemies of Pak are using them against Pak, it will a bit hard on Pak troops to overcome them in a very short time.

A time will come, very soon that these millitants will kill their own people as it happens in most of under world organizations when it come to divide what they have earned..

TTP has earned a lot, from the enemies of Pak, so the deadline of TTP is over due. This deadline is 2010.
They will face the same fat like many religous militant organizations in Pak, when they killed their own operatives and ultimately the leftover guys went underground.
