Millions of Afghans voted on Thursday, August 20, in the country's second-ever presidential election. According to The Associated Press, the results won't be announced until late September after allegations of fraud have been investigated.
Several bloggers have already shared their election day feelings, experiences, concerns and hopes. Photo bloggers also immortalized the day by publishing photos displaying heavy security presence, voter enthusiasm and concern (all photos were republished with permission).
