Saudi Arabia is warning its citizens to take certain precautions to safeguard their rights while travelling abroad this summer. Saudi Jeans notes: “The guidelines advise Saudis involved in legal cases to only speak in the presence of a lawyer and ensure attendance at court hearings to avoid in absentia rulings. […] Unfortunately, little has been done to promote these rights among
citizens. I believe that the government is responsible for protecting their citizens abroad and home alike.”
Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Dr Shashi Tharoor is to have a meeting with the Twitter community of Oman on February 5.
