The effort to create a run on a bank (one supported by the government), adds credibility to the President’s claim this entire episode is an attempt to overthrow the government. As for Mr. Mota’s question, I would respond that a video, even one recorded by a now-deceased man, isn’t evidence, only allegation. In the case of @jeanfer, there was no doubt as to the culpability. Perhaps we will soon see actual evidence which may incriminate the President, but until then I would hope even those who suspect him will press for the rule of law rather than mob rule. ’m no fan of a center-left government, but the whole series of events is too ‘neat’ for me to accept at face value.
