Meanwhile, the Western press and governments prefer to ignore… and to feed ignorance. Such are the sickening realities of the wars our countries wage, and of the violence our own government support, and condone. Discussing and ending violence against gays and lesbians, and women in general, in Iraq, and elsewhere needs to be a topo commitment from us, as citizens.

Someone should sue UK governemtn before the Euoprean Courts. This is so clearly a social group in the definition of human rights having the right of prtection, that UK government fails grossly in their duty

…while many do try and leave to escape this fear for their lives, it seems their plight is not always given appropriate weight. While the UN earlier this month stated homosexual Iraqi asylum seekers should be treated ‘favourably’, -which is a positive development-, the UK Border Agency in February came to the decision of deporting a gay Iraqi asylum seeker back to Iraq, with nothing but advice to be ‘discreet’ about his sexuality. sigh.

The problem is most people in the western world dont seem to care, Where are the western world leaders ? Why wont they speak up. There is strong evidence that this is happening from witnesses who have reported seeing gay men hanged in public and there is photos, plus people have actually admited doing this to gay men, I should also mention a number of hetrosexual men who are believed to be gay are being targeted.

Really? REALLY? Nobody has anything to say? Damn.. I suppose its understandable, Im not sure what to say. Its an absolute travesty how people are treated in some places. I can only hope that somehow, they can either escape, or these fundamentalist groups will loose relavance… I can;t even think of anything else to say. My heart goes out to every gay person in Iraq, and to their families. Nobody deserves to be tortured for any reason, especially not an immutable trait like their sexuality.
