Latin America: Pride on Local Musicians in YouTube's Symphony Orchestra

Saudi Arabia

Writing on Arabic online forum Al Saha Abu Marmesh applauds a new fatwa (religious edict) by a Saudi scholar which bans women only health and sports club in Saudi Arabia. “We have to stand together against all those who try to abuse our girls and women,” he writes.

Repeating Islands reports that Haiti's Senate elections this past weekend were “marred today by sporadic violence, forcing authorities to cancel polling in parts of the country”. Pwoje Espwa notes: “Fanmi Lavalas (ex-President Jean Bertrand Aristide's political party) will not be in the race due to not being able to satisfy all eligibility requirements”, while Haitianalysis.com wonders if the whole exercise was “Election or Selection”.
