No more symbols. No more gifts. (by the way, yet another diplomatic blunder: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1159627/To-special-friend-Gordon-25-DVDs-Obama-gives-Brown-set-classic-movies-Lets-hope-likes-Wizard-Oz.html).

Instead, how about concrete commitments backed by constructive policies?

Secretary Clinton's only gaffe was that the button was given to the wrong recipient. The Obama administration should not have given the "Overcharge" button to Russia.
It was meant for the Amercian citizens.

Another prime example of the United States unwillingness to "think before you speak". First of all if we wanted to show Russia a sign of peace and good will, why would we harp on the need to reset the past instead of looking toward the future? I think an olive branch would have been a much more appropriate symbol to use in this situation. Its simple, direct, and more importantly a time tested, universal symbol for peace and prosperity which is, after all, what we wish to obtain with the Russians in the future. Plus there can be no miss interpretation of such a well know symbol.
