If Karaganda in Kazakhstan succeeds in banning Scientology, they will lose foreign investment and the respect of other nations which recognize that Scientology is a religion.
Attacks on minorities should cease.
Scientology is not a religion in vastly more countries than it is, my home country (UK) being a prime example. Scientology is a criminally convicted, human right abusing cult.
“Evil” is wrong. ALL churches/religions/spiritual groups in the UK – other than the “Church of England” are only recognised as associations and/or charities including Scientology. Also those rulings were overturned YEARS ago.
Per the European Court of Human Rights Scientology is a religion and has the rights to exist in all member countries despite some small percentage of members in member governments (most of which are members of far left or far right nutjob parties) getting it erroneously labelled here or there for a few weeks to years as a “cult”).
In addition the “cult” label and usage of the term as anything other than it’s proper use of a “followers of a small religion or spiritual group or exclusive system of religious beliefs and practices” is considered incorrect by most mainstream social scientists and religious scholars.
