Neutering is a great method and in perfect with the crime. A rapist takes a woman’s chance at a normal life away and permanently scars her emotionally and even physically in some cases.

A good deal of pack mentality and rape derive from feeling powerful. So if you take away a man’s entire reason for feeling power he loses his influence and further prevents him from inspiring others to commit the same act to feel the same power.

Like Jessyz, I think that public humilation can work. But the parents shoud not be convicted, the shame of having their son punished in public is more than enough. Also, “neutering “, or emasculating a groper is out of proportion with the crime. Better send them to a military labor camp run by female police or Army officers who will teach them that women must be respected.

Thank you for the post. Having had friends who have been victims of sexual harassment here on the streets of Cairo, I can sympathize with Asser.
Asser, if you read this, know that you are not alone. Do not drop the charges as this child needs to be reminded of the respect that REAL men have for women. If someone tells you that you will ruin his future because of these charges, tell them that his future is already ruined- it’s been ruined ever since he ignored his lesson on respect.
These charges will teach him what his parents forgot to teach him and send a message to all the other boys out there who think it’s funny to harass women.
