That Word in Me reflects about Overseas Filipino Worker (OFWs). “OFWs are not heroes. They don’t work abroad so they can help ‘alleviate’ our country’s economic status by their remittances… There are very little jobs that can sustain an ordinary Filipino and I bet if he had a choice, he’d rather be working here than elsewhere.”

    It is indeed, that all the OFW’s around the globe must be called heroes of this modern world, primarily because we sustain the lives of our families in Philippines awaiting for our return.I choose to work abroad so in this little way I can contribute to the economic standing of our country thus leading to the development of our newly industrialized nation whom I called the “Sleeping Tiger” of Asia, soon to be part of great economic giants.I may sound futuristic? but we must believe. Persist and Fortify my dear Philippines.

    The problem with unemployment lies in the lazy hands of Juan Tamad. There are a lot of job opportunities in our country, not to mention the booming industry of BPO which until now requires more employees.The problem? the Filipino people who just wanted to get things on the easiest way as possible and some more we still use “isip-talangka”. Do not blame everything to the government. Ask our selves? Am I doing something to resolve my problem?, Laziness will kill you…slowly… It is just like a jeep,The way towards the nations development doesn’t rely on the driver alone, remember, we as passenger give the direction. As a Filipino, it is our duty to safeguard the interest of our country and protect our constitution at all times no matter what it cause.
