Thanks David for making that observation (about afrigator being a south african site), which i think I should have emphasised in the post. yes, the result are obviously skewed bu the fact that Afrigator is a South African website and it follows that most of the top ranked blogs are South African. I am sure if other aggregators such as nigerianbloggers.com or kenyaunlimited release top ranked blogs, the list would be different.

I feel like this year is when blogging in Africa (outside of Kenya and South Africa) is really coming into its own. I liked the Waxal blog awards because it recognized quality African bloggers who are not just the same names who always get mentioned. It is probably also worth mentioning that Afrigator is a Cape Town, South African website, which probably skews the results.

Thanks for much for the mention. Technically I'm a full time employee at a company called The Forge Web Creations where I work as operations manager and seo specialist. My development years are coming to and end though :)
