It is very important to defeat the LTTE as first of all its not a revolutionary arm forces because if it will be a that kind of force who wants freedom from srilanka for the tamil people than they could go long away to get negotiate with the government. Second if we look around then we can learn from our past like pakistan was made on cast and religion,, what next tamil will ask in future tamilnadu on the basis of tamil language n they will get inspired by tamil of lanka so in my view these kind of activity is not in the favor of india also…
Does the Srilankan government want to negotiate on equal base? If they would, why haven’t they prosecuted any soldier, policeman and Sinhalese rioter involved in violence against Tamils? They have killed thousands of Tamils without impunity, clearly showing a Sinhalese bias of the government.
If the Indian government has more responsibility to Tamils than to Sinhalese, since Tamil Nadu is an Indian state and there are few Sinhalese in India.
FYI, Tamil is already a recognized language in Tamil Nadu and this hasn’t led to any disintegration of India whatsoever. If Sri Lanka wants to do justice to the Tamils, they should give Tamil and other minority languages equal status with Sinhalese. The comparison with Pakistan is that Sri Lanka is favoring Buddhism at the expense of other religions.
Sri Lanka should give languages and religions equal status and prosecute Sinhalese killers of thousands of minority members. Otherwise, the Indian government should not cooperate or support the Sri Lankan government.
LTTE will have its say in the end. It will not fall as many think.

Kannadas, Singalese, Maratis, hindutva forces, congress are few to mention who are terribly anti-tamils.
They stopped water in kavery and defied supremecourt order. Politicians who talk big about national unity were silently enjoying it.
Then they stopped hosur water supply project Our patriots were silent and enjoying.
They stopped Sethu project. Whole country was silently enjoying.
Now they are massacring our brothers! Whole India is celebrating! Howlong will it be for the same to happen for Tamils in India?

or by the U.N. if people are seeking liberation due to their supression in thier country and fighting for their independence more than 25 years can the international commuhity or the british who already left srilanka can declare independence. Is their any history as happening in srilanka let me know
