From my other post written last year, I have gone ahead in boycotting their local services as far as I can. It is tricky when you are living overseas as there isn't much choices left - not unless you are planning to starve yourself and turn into Ghandi. Recently complained through the internet on the local customs and business cultures only to discover that what I wrote on the internet was picked up by the local newspaper. The newspaper write-up mentioned that customers who are hurt by online companies may be sued for complaning too much. From one culture to another culture, what defines to the Americans as being normal is not normal to another foreign national. And worst off if you are living with people who are only limited to their region and culture, any single word which is commonly used would be perceived as an attack, then the best way is to end any form of commercialization, buying through the telephone, computer or in person. (I think freedom of speech in expressing one's thoughts and opinion is only worth the effort if it is taken in impersonally with an open willingness to create a win-win relationship.)

These brands are not American brands:

Nestle (Swiss), Garnier de Paris (French), Carrefour (French), Giorgio Armani (Italian), Sunsilk (Unilever Corp/British), Maggi (Nestle/Swiss), Danone (French), L'Oreal de Paris (French), Total Petroleum (French), Shell Petroleum (Dutch), 7 Eleven (Japanese), Nokia (Finland), Lion Toothpaste (Japanese), Neutro Roberts Soaps and Shampoos (British-Italian).

These are other American brands that I think that hasn't been listed yet:

Gillete (Kinda Monopoly for razor blades), Colgate, Palmolive, Darley Toothpaste, Mentadent, Duracell, Energizer, Irish Spring Soaps, Heinz Ketchup, Microsoft Xbox360, Dr. Pepper, Ford, Chevrolet, Dodger, Mercury Grand Marquis, Chevron Texaco, Exxon-Mobil, Daimler Chrysler, General Motors, Phillip Morris Marlboro Cigarettes, Pfizer, Foremost Milk and Foremost Yogurts......

Other American Brands to boycott would be found on this link:

http://www.motherearth.org/USboycott/actionkit_en.php#eend

For boycotting the Big Monopoly Microsoft Windows, you can buy a non-comercial Linux or just buy a Pirate Version of Microsoft Windows. That would fix this problem.

Just to remind you people...

ohoho.. they have done the research thoroughly. and those names mentioned really are involved in the zionist movement which is totally inhumane in its every single way. believe me. and when you say the campaign wont sustain? believe me, it has been here long enough before i started boycotting 2years ago. and it worked.
infact, i believe we must take a step ahead and think far. jobless? do not be so negative so soon. we must carry out a plan to boost the economy, the local companies to achieve the same standards as the international ones. and then more work opportunities for those who worked in mc D, carrefour and so on.

if we couldnt do it at one go, or we do not have other alternative (mostly those IT related stuff), at least, we try to leave those that you could leave first, such as those fast food giants. it wont kill you if you dont eat it.

My fellow Malaysians. Is the campaign still on or is it one of those things that starts on hot and then simmer off into the night. Most of the brand labels in the pictures above are fast moving consumer goods which are minor purchases. We can only make an impact on them on expensive purchases like branded goods and luxury items; which is a simple habit to break. Kindly take the effort to check on the product labels before making a purchase.(Behind the box there should be the product information: Made in USA). I shall add on the list above . . . Dermalogica skincare, made in California, USA.

I do not think United States (US) is concern whether we, Malaysians boycott their products or otherwise. We have already allowed the Western culture to integrate and dominate the Malaysian way of life. How are we going to separate one from the other? I have been living in the United States for more than five years. I have had so much problems each time I try to buy any of their big named brands. I think it is their way of telling me that they have no need for my money. After this experience, I have found every reason to stop buying any of their brands all together.

I believe that we should do the best that we can in our lives. If this can be our little contribution to end the Gaza invasion and stop the war, what's stopping us then? Show some support. I admit that I may not be able to proceed with the boycott fully, but whatever I can do, I will. Still have Nescafe and Milo in the kitchen, and I'm not throwing the 3/4 tin away. I'm not that rich too promote that kind of act. But I probably won't buy them the next time around. True, I got angry too when I saw that a lot of people enjoying McD while we are having this boycott campaign. Well, we can't force people to see things the way we see it. Let's just hope that they'll see and understand our action soon and support us then..

I think this campaign won't sustain in a very long time cause we are using their products in our daily life, we might think we have substitution for it but think carefully most of the IT stuffs and inventions are from US. At the same time, our main export income partly from US too. We shall think further of our country economic condition...Not to forget there are also many of USA base products and companies in our country and many Malaysians are working in the companies too. Are we going to be jobless just because we hate US action. I dont mind to do donation and other things that can help Pallestine but to boycott US products is not a very wise action and I agree with that we should identify whether the company have directly involve in the war or not before we boycott them.
