Gustavo, you are absolutely right. I was told it was $1400 and incorrectly assumed it was in colones, my mistake. I´m editing the article to correctly reflect the amount.

Ashley Melnik and 3 others from Thunder Bay ontario canada were near in the volcano national park yesterday afternoon. Does anyone know how that area was affected by the earthquake.

WOW! From Costa Rica:
The earth is alive. We also feel a quake. 6.2 bigger than California.
Some medium material damages, But it is not to alarm the world.
Most of the damages are around the Poas Volcano.
