i think Novida is much too sweet though i wouldn’t take Alvaro. It’s just wrong… All the same, kudos to the Novida & Coca – Cola teams in general for bringing it on. Without competition, this world would be rather boring. Kudos Coca-Cola

Well just looking at it i would advice EABL to up the stakes in this market. Why don’t they diversify into full blown soda production? I mean they still have the Castle Brewing Plant in Thika which is ideal and all they would need to do is sign a deal with Pepsi for them to return to the market. That would be a very brilliant idea!!!

I’ve just moved to Nairobi and the soda wars are in full swing. I have been seeing Coke’s new Apple flavored Novida marketed VERY heavily everywhere I go. Yaya shopping centre is plastered with it all over the walls. I can’t eat somewhere without seeing Novida available to drink. I think I’ve seen this Alvaro drink and I’d like to try it. If it’s the non-alcoholic bar crowd these guys are shooting for, I fee like Alvaro will win just with it’s design of the bottle. It’s sad that Coke has resorted to making the ‘carbon copy’ clone just to compete. It’s also sad that my soda consumption has jumped 10,000% since moving to Africa.
